Trying to trim your budget is always a daunting task. You look at every facet of your life, from the car you drive, to the place you live in, to how much you spend on clothes. You try to find places where you can shave off a few dollars here and there, or you get drastic and start cancelling your cable and any magazine subscriptions you may have.

As I’ve said before, I tend to believe that the slow and steady method wins the race. Tighten the belt slowly, and the debt will fall. Occasionally the thought does cross my mind to do the drastic thing, but I just can’t do it. I’ve tried, but I just can’t. I admire those of you that can do it, however for me it’s a little more difficult. So I always like when I find information that can help me slowly trim my expenses. Kind of like the Penny Pincher Gazette. It’s a great website that offers online grocery coupons for free. That’s going to get me interested. F-R-E-E

The website is pretty well organized, so that you can search .for specific grocery coupons, or even look at general flyers for your favourite stores. I’m a little disappointed to see that the site is geared to my American friends, but that’s okay, because at least somebody’s saving some money!

Handily you can print the grocery coupons yourself, printing off only the ones you need. So you save the environment by not having a ton of flyers for the stores, and just print up the ones you want. I always like it when websites offer me that option, to print it up myself or just save it to my computer. Makes life much easier. You can even review your “print list” before actually printing up the coupons, and revise your list before printing.

The online flyers aren’t the visual ones you may be useful, but I think the way they are sorted on the website makes them even easier to sort through. You simply select the store whose flyer you wish to see, and you’re presented with a sortable list of the products on sale. Then you select how many copies of the grocery coupon you want, and it gets saved to your “print list”.

And if you’re not sure what you can make with the products you can buy with these online grocery coupons, there’s another useful feature on the website that gives you recipe ideas. You see the recipe idea along side an appropriate free coupon for one of the ingredients. That’s extremely handy.

This site should definitely be put in your arsenal for saving you money, as it could save you not only hard cash, but also time. Anything that can help you save those pennies & dollars is worth coming back to check out later.

While cruising through the various blogs I read on my online reader, I came across one talking about a new paid blogging site called smorty.com. It works like all the others out there, in that you’re posting to your blog for money. You get to choose the opportunities you blog about, so that it makes sense for your blog. They’ve got quite a selection going right now, although I haven’t found many that would be appropriate to this blog just yet. However don’t fear, you’ll be seeing more of these later on. I like the fact that their website is very well laid out, after you log in. You see the opportunities on one side, and with a few easy clicks, you’re getting paid for blogging! It also didn’t take long for my blog to get approved, so that’s also a plus. I’ve applied to a few others that just took forever to process. This took less than two weeks (unfortunately I don’t recall the exact date I applied, however I know it wasn’t too long ago.) As I’m always on the lookout for new income streams, this one seemed like an easy thing to do.

Smorty.com is also great if you’re looking to generate new advertising traffic to your website, as an option to consider if you’re looking for some blog advertising. Seeing as this is a personal finance blog about how to get myself out of debt, I probably won’t take advantage of their advertising services, however if you are in the market, go take a look.

So if you’re looking for new paid blogging sites, I’d recommend checking out smorty.com. Here’s to a long and fruitful relationship!
