Because my new job is at one of Canada’s 5 major banks, I am required to use them for my day-to-day banking. I don’t mind that too much because they give me free banking and discounts on all their other services, so in the end I save money. But my car’s lease payment is still with my previous main bank. So far I’ve been doing an email transfer to that account in time to make the payment (again, another free perk for me), but it’s always a hassle setting it up, waiting for the email to come thru, and blah blah blah. All week I’ve been trying to remember to find the phone number for Mazda’s financial arm, and do you think I could find it? Nope.
I looked around for several days, and finally had a brain storm…after which I found the number. I realized now why it was difficult: near the the end of 2008, Mazda Canada changed their financial services provider, so depending on when your lease was set up, you have to call a different number. Regardless though, it shouldn’t be this difficult for me to find, right?
I’m going to call them up and change my banking info with them so they just take my payment directly from my work account, that way I don’t have to do as much dancing around to get all the money set up. I already do enough dancing with my Debt Snowball right now, I don’t need the extra complications.
