Finding Unintentional Snowflakes
Even though I’m working from home today, I still like to get “dressed” so I feel a little more in the mood. I’m not talking full work gear, but a pair of jeans and a shirt/sweater, you know? But I also wanted to take advantage of the fact that I’m home today by also doing some laundry at some point. The comfy jeans I wanted to wear today are in the laundry basket, so they were out of the running. I didn’t feel like wearing my other jeans, so I looked over and saw the “to donate” pile of clothes. There were a few pairs of jeans in there that I was going to donate, but just never got around to it. I pulled them out, put them on and finished getting dressed.
A few minutes ago I realized there was something in the back pocket, and figuring it was just an old shopping list or bus transfer, I reached in and immediately reached over to the waste basket to toss it out. Until I realized that it was purple paper. For you non-Canadians out there, purple paper could mean several things, but given the texture and colour, I thought it might have been some money…sure enough, it was a $10 bill! A crumpled up, who only knows how long it’s been in that back pocket kind of $10 bill! So I uncrumpled it and attempted to iron it out a bit with my hands. I’ll be depositing that sucker into one of my lines of credit as soon as I walk past the next bank machine.
Now this means I’m going to check ALL my pants pockets, just to be sure I’m not hiding any other snowflaking money.

Finding money in pockets is the best! Like Christmas only without the fancy lights LOL
