Here are the monthly numbers for September 2007:

Total debt as of Sep. 28, 2007: $18,723.64

Total paid in the $5000 Debt Payoff Contest: $312 this month, $1412 total.

Total Savings this month: $300

Emergency Fund Total: $1100 (had to use $345 to replace my truck’s windshield)

So while I didn’t end up paying a lot of my debt down this month, I made some good progress. I was able to shuffle more of my debt around so that I’m being charged less interest, which is always good. Couple that with the good deal I was able to secure for my truck’s windshield replacement, and I ended up saving about $400, which is always good. The payment for my plane ticket to Vancouver was also due this month, so that also chewed up some of my debt repayment money. But at least I paid that outright, instead of just moving it around to another debt vehicle. I’m pleased with that.

I’m making progress, which is always nice. Slow and steady wins the race, isn’t that right?
